In this role, you will be a technical cornerstone within our agile and digital-first culture, driving the evolution of our financial engineering ecosystem. You will work at the intersection of high-scale distributed systems and cutting-edge GenAI applications to transform the way we deliver credit and value to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Design and implement highly resilient microservices using Java 11+, Spring Boot, and event-oriented architectures.
- Orchestrate mission-critical systems ensuring data integrity, consistency, and high availability across distributed environments.
- Lead strategic architectural decisions and promote technical excellence through CI/CD best practices and rigorous test automation.
- Document complex ecosystems using the C4 Model and apply Domain-Driven Design (DDD) to align technical solutions with business goals.
- Manage observability and monitoring strategies to ensure continuous visibility into service health, performance, and traceability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Generative AI and LLMs into the engineering workflow using RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) patterns.
- Implement advanced messaging solutions focusing on delivery guarantees, message ordering, and consumer scaling using GCP Pub/Sub or Kafka.
- Extensive experience with Java 11 (or higher) and the Spring ecosystem (Boot, Data, Cloud, Batch).
- Mastery of distributed systems patterns including SAGA (Orchestrated/Choreographed), CQRS, and Event Sourcing.
- Solid experience in Cloud Platforms, specifically Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with proficiency in GKE and Docker containers.
- Deep understanding of data resilience strategies and persistence in high-load, fault-tolerant environments.
- Proven ability to model architectures using C4 Model and apply DDD principles effectively.
- Experience with messaging technologies such as Kafka or GCP Pub/Sub.
- Previous experience as a Tech Lead or Team Lead is a significant advantage.
- Experience in AI Engineering, specifically with LLMs and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), is highly valued.
- Prior experience within the financial services sector is preferred.
