About the Role

Ateneo de Manila University is seeking a meticulous and highly organized Contractual Bookkeeper to join our financial administration team for a period of four to six months. This role is designed for a detail-oriented professional who excels in financial record-keeping, digital file management, and the maintenance of manual books of accounts. As a key contributor during this engagement, you will ensure the integrity of our financial data while streamlining our cloud-based storage systems for optimal accessibility and security.

The successful candidate will play a vital role in supporting the university's financial operations by bridging the gap between traditional manual bookkeeping and modern digital accounting practices. We are looking for an individual who takes pride in accuracy, possesses a strong sense of confidentiality, and can navigate both physical and electronic filing systems with ease. This position offers a professional opportunity to contribute to one of the country's leading educational institutions while refining your expertise in QuickBooks Online and comprehensive document management.

Key Responsibilities
  • Systematically manage and organize electronic files on cloud storage platforms, specifically Google Drive, to ensure authorized personnel can retrieve documents efficiently.
  • Perform accurate data entry of financial transactions into QuickBooks Online (QBO) to maintain up-to-date digital ledgers.
  • Meticulously update and maintain the university's manual books of accounts in compliance with standard accounting practices.
  • Assist in the rigorous tracking of departmental expenses, verifying that all invoices and receipts are recorded and categorized appropriately.
  • Develop and maintain structured filing systems for both physical and digital financial documents, including sensitive financial reports and audit trails.
  • Conduct regular audits of digital folders to ensure logical organization and data integrity across the cloud environment.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to ensure all documentation is ready for month-end reporting and internal reviews.
Qualifications
  • Proven professional experience in accounting, bookkeeping, or administrative financial management.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in QuickBooks Online (QBO) and manual bookkeeping techniques.
  • Advanced familiarity with cloud-based collaboration tools, specifically Google Drive and Microsoft OneDrive.
  • Exceptional organizational skills with a proven ability to manage high volumes of financial documentation without errors.
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly regarding data entry accuracy and financial reconciliation.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently within a remote or hybrid framework.
  • A high degree of integrity and the ability to handle sensitive institutional information with strict confidentiality.
  • Must be fully amenable to a contractual engagement period of 4 to 6 months.
Benefits
  • Opportunity to work with a prestigious and globally recognized educational institution.
  • Flexible remote work arrangement allowing for a better work-life balance.
  • Professional growth through exposure to complex institutional financial workflows.
  • Competitive contractual compensation package based on experience and qualifications.
  • A collaborative and supportive professional environment that values meticulous work and dedication.
