About the Role
The Home Depot is seeking a dedicated and service-oriented HR Services Contact Center Associate to join our dynamic HR Service Center team. In this pivotal role, you will serve as the first point of contact for our valued associates and managers, delivering high-quality customer service through inbound and outbound calls, emails, and faxes. Your primary mission is to ensure that every inquiry regarding pay and HR policies is handled with precision, empathy, and efficiency, contributing to the seamless operational success of the world's largest home improvement retailer.

Key Responsibilities- Handle a high volume of inbound calls from associates and managers, identifying specific needs and providing accurate information regarding pay and HR procedures.
- Document all interactions and issues within our case management system with careful attention to detail to ensure historical accuracy and compliance.
- Process transactional requests received via phone, mail, fax, or email in a timely and efficient manner.
- Escalate complex or sensitive issues to Tier II specialists for further research while maintaining ownership of the associate's initial experience.
- Support large-scale organizational changes by executing high-volume administrative tasks and data entry as required by the business.
- Utilize probing questions and active listening to get to the root of associate inquiries and provide comprehensive solutions.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to continuously improve service delivery and maintain a positive, upbeat work environment.
- Engage in special projects and administrative duties as assigned by the Contact Center Supervisor to support the broader HR Service Center goals.
- Minimum of 1 year of professional work experience, preferably in a customer service or administrative environment.
- High School Diploma or GED required; an Associate’s Degree or some college education is preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a proven ability to explain complex information clearly.
- Strong computer proficiency, including the ability to navigate multiple applications simultaneously and experience with DOS-based or case management software.
- History of punctuality, reliability, and excellent attendance in previous roles.
- Ability to perform effectively in an unpredictable, fast-paced environment while maintaining a professional and helpful demeanor.
- Strong typing skills and the ability to document notes accurately while speaking on the phone.
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is considered a significant asset but is not required.
