Key ResponsibilitiesAs the Pricing Manager, you will own the end-to-end underwriting and pricing lifecycle, ensuring that our business development efforts are supported by robust financial logic and clear, professional documentation. You will develop comprehensive pricing responses for RFPs and competitive bids, working cross-functionally with sales, clinical, and operations teams to ensure every proposal is consistent, efficient, and aligned with our organizational objectives. This involves not only initial modeling but also managing complex follow-up questions from prospective clients and refining bids to meet specific employer needs and financial guarantees.
Beyond execution, you will be a key driver of strategy and market positioning. You will implement and refine underwriting policies that reflect our commitment to total clarity, analyzing market trends, industry dynamics, and competitor pricing to keep AffirmedRx at the forefront of the industry. You will be tasked with translating our unique, value-driven pharmacy pricing models into common industry terminology, making it easier for consultants and employers to recognize the superior transparency we provide. Additionally, you will monitor the performance of existing strategies, conducting ad-hoc financial analyses and rebate projections to ensure we are consistently delivering on our financial promises.
QualificationsThe ideal candidate possesses a deep understanding of the PBM ecosystem and the financial intricacies of pharmacy pricing. You must have a proven track record in underwriting and competitive bidding, with the ability to navigate complex data sets and financial modeling with precision. We are looking for a professional who can blend analytical rigor with the communication skills necessary to narrate pricing-related responses and explain the logic behind the numbers to various stakeholders.
- Significant professional experience in PBM pricing, underwriting, or financial analysis within the healthcare or pharmacy sector.
- Demonstrated expertise in advanced financial modeling, including the ability to project rebates and establish performance guarantees.
- Proficiency in analyzing large, complex datasets to identify market trends and formulate effective, competitive pricing structures.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to author detailed RFP responses and engage with internal and external leadership.
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Healthcare Administration, or a related quantitative field.
