During your first six months, you will immerse yourself in our current architecture to identify critical risks and untapped opportunities for improvement. You will be responsible for defining and prioritizing a comprehensive platform roadmap that aligns with our rapid growth trajectory and long-term business goals. A major component of your early success will involve leading the consolidation of our infrastructure stacks into a unified, high-efficiency platform, ensuring a smooth migration that enhances our operational maturity and system stability. Furthermore, you will help our engineering team standardize development environment tooling and integrate advanced AI usage into our daily workflows, setting a new standard for internal development excellence and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Roadmap Ownership: Take full accountability for the platform roadmap, identifying technical debt, building essential new features, and driving the infrastructure forward without relying on a pre-defined script. You will turn complex business needs into scalable technical reality.
- Cost Infrastructure Management: Lead global cost management efforts across our cloud footprint, with a specific focus on optimizing proxy costsone of our most significant operational expensesidentifying efficiencies that do not compromise on speed or security.
- Reliability and Scalability: Ensure the long-term performance of our systems through the implementation of robust monitoring, proactive alerting, and comprehensive disaster recovery strategies to maintain our industry-leading uptime.
- System Consolidation: Direct the technical strategy for merging disparate infrastructure stacks into a single, cohesive platform, improving the developer experience and ensuring a seamless transition for our existing services.
- Operational Excellence: Evangelize modern DevOps best practices, standardizing development environments and improving the team's maturity regarding AI-driven tooling and automated deployment processes.
- Senior-Level Engineering Expertise: You bring significant experience in high-scale infrastructure or platform engineering, ideally within a SaaS company that manages billions of requests or massive, distributed data sets.
- Mastery of Cloud Ecosystems: Deep proficiency in managing large-scale cloud environments, with a strong background in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and modern container orchestration platforms like Kubernetes.
- Proven Financial Acumen: A demonstrated ability to analyze complex infrastructure bills, identify waste, and implement creative cost-reduction strategies that align with high-performance technical requirements.
- Architectural Vision: The ability to evaluate legacy systems and identify potential points of failure before they occur, alongside the skill to design robust migration paths that minimize risk and downtime.
