About the Role
Josie Maran is seeking a visionary and agile Social Content Designer & Producer to join our growing creative team. This remote-first role is designed for a digital native who lives at the intersection of beauty, wellness, and visual storytelling. As our lead content creator, you will be responsible for bringing the Josie Maran brand to life across TikTok, Instagram, and emerging platforms, ensuring our 'clean beauty with a conscience' philosophy resonates with a global audience through stunning, thumb-stopping visuals.
The ideal candidate is both a designer and a maker—someone who can conceptualize a campaign, shoot high-quality video on the fly, and execute polished graphic layouts. You will work closely with the VP of Creative and Marketing to translate brand goals into engaging social narratives that drive community growth and consumer loyalty. Key Responsibilities- Design and produce original, high-performance content for Instagram (Stories, Reels, Feed) and TikTok, ensuring all output aligns with the Josie Maran brand voice and aesthetic.
- Lead the end-to-end production process, including concepting, storyboarding, filming, photography, and post-production editing.
- Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop monthly content calendars that support product launches, seasonal campaigns, and brand education.
- Stay ahead of social media trends, platform updates, and viral moments to ensure the brand remains relevant and proactive in the digital space.
- Develop engaging motion graphics, typography-heavy layouts, and static assets that simplify complex product benefits into digestible social content.
- Manage on-set production for small-scale social shoots, including lighting, propping, and talent direction.
- Analyze content performance metrics in partnership with the social team to iterate and optimize creative strategies based on audience engagement.
- Maintain an organized library of digital assets and ensure all projects are delivered on time in a fast-paced, remote environment.
- 3-5 years of experience in content creation, graphic design, or social media production, specifically within the beauty, fashion, or lifestyle sectors.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Premiere Pro) and mobile editing tools like CapCut or Canva.
- Proven track record of creating viral or high-engagement video content for TikTok and Reels.
- Strong understanding of photography and videography fundamentals, including framing, lighting, and sound.
- Excellent aesthetic sense with a sharp eye for typography, color theory, and layout design.
- Ability to work independently in a remote setting while maintaining clear communication and collaboration with a cross-functional team.
