About the Role
The Narrative Refinery is a boutique social media strategy and content production agency that prides itself on delivering high-caliber visual storytelling for a roster of design-conscious brands. We are currently seeking a proactive and creatively versatile Social Media Content Editor to take the helm of content production for four key clients during a critical international sporting event window. This project-based contract runs from approximately July 18 to August 8, 2026, and offers a unique opportunity for a talented creator to become our go-to editor for ongoing long-term collaborations. If you thrive on transforming raw assets into polished, social-first masterpieces, we want to see your portfolio.
In this role, you will act as the creative engine of the agency while the owner is on-site at a major global event. You will not be starting from scratch; instead, you will be provided with professional shot lists, brand materials, and raw assets from photographers. Your mission is to translate these raw materials into on-brand, postable content that fits seamlessly into the established aesthetic of our diverse clients. This position requires a fast, self-directed professional who can match a brand's specific look and feel without intensive hand-holding, ensuring that all deliverables are organized and ready for scheduling.
Key Responsibilities- Edit raw photography and video footage into polished, high-engagement content for Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook.
- Produce a diverse range of assets, including static graphics, carousel posts, and short-form video content such as Reels and TikToks.
- Study and replicate existing brand identities, ensuring that every asset matches the client’s established voice, color palette, and visual style.
- Manage end-to-end workflows for four distinct boutique clients across beauty, lifestyle, retail, and service industries.
- Work efficiently within a defined project scope to meet quick turnaround deadlines while maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Organize and label all final deliverables within shared drives to facilitate a seamless captioning and scheduling process.
- Communicate proactively with the agency owner to flag questions early and provide status updates across different time zones.
- Proven experience as a social-first editor, with a portfolio that demonstrates the ability to edit specifically for social media platforms rather than general print or web design.
- High proficiency in industry-standard tools, which may include Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop), CapCut, or Canva.
- Exceptional ability to adapt to varying brand aesthetics, moving fluidly between premium, polished styles and warm, community-focused looks.
- Strong background in short-form video editing, with a focus on pacing, trends, and native platform features.
- Demonstrated reliability in meeting deadlines and managing multiple projects simultaneously in a remote environment.
- Self-motivated mindset with the ability to interpret creative briefs and run with them independently.
- Availability for a formal onboarding and strategy call in early July to align on brand systems and file structures.
- Opportunity to work with a high-end agency that prioritizes organization, clear briefs, and design excellence.
- Fully remote work environment offering flexibility during the project window.
- A defined project scope with clear deliverables, ensuring a manageable and predictable workload of approximately 15-20 hours per week.
- Potential for the contract to evolve into an ongoing, part-time partnership as the agency’s primary editor.
- Exposure to diverse, design-forward brands across multiple lifestyle sectors.
