As a Trim Specialist, you will play a vital role in our vertically integrated manufacturing process, ensuring that every home we produce meets our rigorous standards for quality, aesthetics, and craftsmanship. Key Responsibilities
  • Execute precise installation of interior trim components, including baseboards, crown molding, window casings, and door frames, ensuring seamless joints and professional finishes.
  • Measure, cut, and fit wood and composite materials accurately to minimize waste and maintain high production efficiency.
  • Operate various hand and power tools such as miter saws, pneumatic nail guns, and measurement devices while strictly adhering to safety protocols.
  • Collaborate with the broader manufacturing team to ensure that the interior finishing phase aligns with the overall production schedule and quality benchmarks.
  • Conduct quality self-inspections to identify and resolve any defects in material or workmanship before the home moves to the next stage of production.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace to promote safety and operational excellence within the manufacturing facility.
  • Assist in the training of new team members on trim techniques and company standards as required.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in finish carpentry, trim work, or a related field within the construction or manufacturing industry.
  • Strong proficiency in using manual and power tools, with a focus on precision cutting and fastening.
  • Excellent mathematical skills with the ability to read and interpret blueprints, tape measures, and technical specifications.
  • A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality craftsmanship on every project.
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • A positive, coachable attitude with a desire to learn and grow within the Clayton organization.
